Grants 101

Want extra funding? Always felt confused about grant applications, campus resources, and what’s possible? We’re here to help!
Grants 101, a series of bite-sized workshops, is coming this fall to help you approach external funding with ease. You’ll gain a basic overview of the grants process at UNC, review the worthiness of pursuing grants, gain insights into campus resources, and find an open place to ask basic questions on grantsmanship and grants administration.
The program is available to all CAS faculty, with a strong emphasis on providing support to faculty in the Fine Arts & Humanities. All sessions will take place on Zoom over the course of 90 minutes with about half of the session dedicated to fundamentals and the other half dedicated to specialized breakout topics with experts. There will be two presentations of each session to allow for flexible scheduling.
Presented by the Arts & Humanities Grants Studio (AHGS), the CAS Research Support Team, the Office of Research Development, the Center for Faculty Excellence, and the Institute of the Arts and Humanities, this series will help you build confidence no matter what your past experience.
